PS Plus free games for February 2022 could hold a big march

[ad_1]

the PSMore February 2022 free games are available now, if anyone chooses to claim them, but many are quite upset with this month’s selection. Namely, it boils down to the fact that every game really uses a certain genre or trait that never did well on PS Plus, which means this reception was to be expected.

PS Plus free games for February 2022 include the following UFC 4 (PS4), Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep (PS4), and Planet Coaster: Console Edition (PS5). UFC 4 isn’t a bad game, but it’s a sports game, and they’ve never traditionally been too popular on PS Plus. Indeed, most sports fans will already have the latest entry; in the meantime, there is nothing wrong with Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. It’s just not remarkable for a short outing of a single Borderlands 2 Release. It’s probably meant to build hype for Wonderlandbut that’s not really necessary either.

Then there is Planet Coaster– which, for many PS Plus subscribers, is probably the worst offender. It’s a management and theme park construction sim, in and of itself, not a bad style of play. But PS Plus and sim games don’t mix. In May 2020, Sony included two simulation games on PS Plus—Farming Sim 19 and Cities: Skylines– and this remains the only time a petition has raised a massive number of supporters, asking to change the free PS Plus games.

How PS Plus balances good and bad months for free games

Now, the fact is that PS Plus works according to a number of patterns, although they are impossible to predict. They are not impossible to see, however. For much of 2020, PS Plus offered two games: one big, one slot. Then, nearing the release of the PS5, it really gave a bunch of heavy hitters, 3-4 games at a time. It’s harder to know what’s happening now, but the hindsight is usually 2020.

It’s possible, but ultimately impossible to know, that Sony will improve the PS Plus selection in March. February might not be the best month, but that still sets up a big March. Something like lowering expectations and hitting with a knockout blow sounds like a whimsical and plausible style of marketing. Historically, some of the worst months for PS Plus have been followed by very good months.

For example, after the PS Plus free games request for May 2020, June 2020 saw the addition of Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Call of Duty: WWII. These two shooters struck at the hour of renewal star wars and Call of Duty interest due to a variety of factors, and it was a rather well-received month, although it did reinforce the idea that a Call of Duty the game comes to PS Plus every year.

Also, the February 2022 PS Plus free games are very similar to February 2021. A year ago, Sony added All-Star Destruction (PS5), Control: Ultimate Edition (PS5/PS4), and concrete engineering (PS4) serving. concrete engineeringalthough a good interesting game with VR capabilities, didn’t make a big splash, kinda like Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. Control is a good game, but as UFC 4, it is one that is very popular and already owned by many. During this time, All-Star Destruction didn’t land on the right foot and never really found its momentum, much like simulation games like Planet Coaster do on PS Plus.

Sony then swept through March 2021 with an insanely good month: Fans had Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Farpoint, Remnant: From The Ashesand Model. Sony did not stop there, because not only All-Star Destruction given for its second month, but Sony also gave Ratchet and Clank for free as part of its Play at Home initiative. Indeed, in all this, there was something for everyone.

PS Plus free games for March 2022 could be better, small model suggests

However, what’s worth noting is that picking a pair of months from PS Plus’s past isn’t necessarily the best way to look at models. It could easily be saved where the bad month is the second, and boom, it’s a trend to get worse. But, since time is moving forward and not backward, it does indicate some hope that March 2022 will be better than February 2022 for PS Plus.

On top of that, PS Plus subscribers already know GTA online will be coming to the service, apparently as a “bonus” game since it releases on March 15 instead of the first Tuesday. That means fans can expect three more games to pair well with this, and given Rockstar Games’ recent acknowledgment of Grand Automatic Flight 6‘s development, it is likely to do very well.

Indeed, PS Plus is still struggling in terms of models and releases in 2022. January’s PS Plus free games really put it on the right track, but let’s hope February turns out to be a detour for March.
