It looks like it will be a sad and rainy weekend in the UK.
Lucky for you, there is good news coming via the PlayStation Store if you want to hide indoors and sheltered from the elements.
Bandai Namco is releasing a pretty substantial demo for Code Vein and you can play it completely for free right now.
With around three weeks before you can actually get your hands on the final version of the game, it’s a great way to get ready for the Japanese publisher’s latest character action game.
The Trial Edition of Code Vein allows players to get a feel for the game while exploring a fairly decent part of the unique environment of the anime-inspired RPG.
The demo is more or less the same as Code Vein’s closed network test that took place earlier this year – between May 30 and June 3 – although there is no multiplayer content in this version. from the demo.
Interested? Here’s a bit more official information coming straight from the developers themselves:
“In the not too distant future, a mysterious catastrophe caused the collapse of the world as we know it. The towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves from mankind’s past pierced by the thorns of judgment, “reads the game description.
“At the center of the destruction is a hidden Revenant society called Vein. This last stronghold is where the last few fight for survival, blessed with gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood.
“Surrender fully to the thirst for blood and risk becoming one of the lost and evil ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity. Wandering aimlessly in search of blood, the lost will stop at nothing to satisfy their hunger.”
“Team up and embark on a journey to the end of hell to unlock your past and escape your living nightmare in CODE VEIN.”
You can download the demo via PSN or this link.
Those of you who are aware of hard drive space may also want to know that the demo is quite a hefty 9GB in size on PS4 and Xbox. Then you might want to make some room!
